Set on Faversham Creek, one of Kent’s most historic waterways, our berths are more than just a place to tie up. You’re joining a maritime community.
Standard Quay is a tidal site. The Creek and all moorings dry out at low water. Access is available for approximately 2 hours either side of high tide. We strongly recommend planning your arrival and departure around tide times.

We offer both short-term visitor moorings and long-term berths for all lengths of vessel. Whether you own a traditional sailing barge, a classic motor cruiser or a working boat, we have the space and the expertise to accommodate you.

There are practical reasons to choose us — tidal access, facilities, skilled tradespeople on site. But there are also less tangible ones. Standard Quay is one of those rare places where history is still alive and working. Your neighbour might be a 100-year-old Thames barge undergoing restoration. The quayside workshop next door might be a blacksmith crafting traditional rigging blocks. This is a genuine working quay, not a manicured marina.

The Quay is home to several historic ships and boats including barges such as Cambria and Greta, as well as traditional fishing boats, classic tugs and overnight moorings of all sorts! One of Standard Quay’s classic ‘barn’ buildings, that dates back to the 1700s, is the temporary home of the Cambria Thames Barge Exhibition.
